It is a story about one such teacher who served education in such a capacity.Stevie Wonder's teacher at the Michigan School for the Blind, Yvonne Whitmore, has passed away at the age of 87. According to Yvonne's daughter, Ms. Whitmore encouraged Stevie and said "'He has a great voice for ballads - we need to get him to sing ballads."
